Spring in Paris~Seine River, Notre-Dame de Paris, Eiffel Tower

Hey guys! It's been a long time since I updated... Sorry... This series of my trip to Paris is almost done!! It's near the end of the year so I'm starting to get really busy *sigh*
I went to Virginia Beach with my school concert band a few weeks ago. Gosh, the weather was amazing, the sea was pretty and most of all, it was WARM!!! Canada still has to welcome spring sometime soon, hopefully -.-
Also, last thing before I go on with my rant about how beautiful Paris is, if you are into Japanese music, please go check out a band called Sekai no Owari!! They are so addictive <3 My favourite song is Starlight Parade, although I love every single song by them :3

On our third day in the city, we decided to schedule most of the important attractions in one day, and decided we would walk from one attraction to another. Oh, my God, it was one of the dumbest things I ever found myself doing. We first walked from our hotel (which is right beside the Louvre) to Notre-Dame Cathedral, which took about twenty minutes, so it wasn't too bad yet. We walked alongside the Seine River (La Riviere Seine) so the scenery was amazing! This river has always been my dream (not only because Hyde from L'Arc-en-Ciel sat there and drank wine in one of their tour documentaries) since I've heard about it being famous for its beauty. It was cloudy that day, actually I think it was haze, anyway, we couldn't see much of anything. That made me kind of sad too. However, Notre-Dame was phenomenal! I'm Catholic so going in there was such a shocker since we went there at noon and the bells were ringing and a worship was about to begin. The chants sounded awesome in French and they were very angelic sounding.

The Seine River

There was a lot of locks on some of the bridges. One of the bridges (Pont des Arts?) was completely covered in locks! It was kind of romantic to look at. In the movie "Now you see me", the last scenes was shot at one of these bridges and show two characters locking their lock onto the bridge (I watched this movie on the plane to Paris hehe).

The tip of a tiny island in the middle of he river.

The Notre-Dame Cathedral

It was noon when we arrived so we heard the bells!!

Along the sides of the river was flooded with little shops selling paintings and posters.

Mmmmm Food!!

Where we sat at the restaurant had this plaque on he wall (literally above my head) to honour a young soldier who gloriously sacrificed his life for the liberation of Paris in 1944.
"Robert Gauthier (student) engaged in the F.F.I. had fallen gloriously for the liberation of Paris on August 21st 1944 at the age of 21."

Le musee d'Orsay has some of the most famous art works in the world including Monet, Van Goh, Picasso, etc. It's too bad we didn't have time to go :(

After lunch, we headed towards the Eiffel tower. That took a looong time! We walked for at least 40 minutes from Notre-Dame. I was asking myself why I had to do this throughout the entire walk. When we finally saw the tower, it felt as if everything's worth it. It was so majestic and pretty in the distance! Right when I got excited and wanted to take lots of pictures, my camera conveniently died. I almost cried T.T Out of all the times it could've died, it died when I was right in front of the Eiffel Tower, after 40 minutes of walking.

The view from the top of the tower. Sorry this picture is crooked since I had less than three seconds before my camera dies.

That day was an exhausting day! We walked so much, I couldn't feel my feet haha. It was worth it though, since we got to tour the main attractions of Paris in one day!! By the way, I fell in love with the name of the place the Eiffel Tower is situated. It's called Champs de Mars and I don't know why it just hit me and I certainly will never forget this name.

Two more (maybe three) to go until the end of this!! :D
